Elephant Sounds

Elephant Park, London, 12th August 2023

To mark World Elephant Day, we developed the concept for Elephant Sounds, a free community music event in the heart of Elephant Park for developer Lendlease. MARK London developed the concept and produced the event in collaboration with Chris Greenwood, owner of local cafe chain Little Louie.

A day of free music from local artists or those connected with the local Latin community such as DJs Cal Jader, Camberwell Connection & Natty Bo, performance from Baque de Axe, a traditional Brazilian Maracatu Carnival percussion band, and a headline show from Afrobeat legends Cubafrobeat! Lokkhi Terra feautring Dele Sosimi.

All this alongside food and drink from the on site restaurants and bars and a walkabout Elephant performance connecting the event to World Elephant Day.

Hopefully this is the start of an annual event for the local residents, neighbourhood and businesses to come together for a great celebration in the heart of Elephant Park.
